Netscape Navigator version 5.0 or higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher. (If you are using AOL's browser, please switch
to one of the above if you experience any difficulty. To do this: log
on to AOL. Minimize the browser. Then launch either Netscape or Internet
Explorer.)
There are browser plug-ins required for the use of this site. If you don't already have them in place, please be sure to download the appropriate plug-in from the sites listed here before attempting to use this site's features.

ONLINE PURCHASE/ACCESS CODE REGISTRATION:
Did you purchase
the product online, or was there an access certificate (access code) packaged with your textbook?
If the product was
purchased through an access certificate (access code), you
must first register the access code before you can enter
to use the product.
If the product was
bought online (through the ecatalog), and you registered the serial number at the time of purchase, you can log in to the product with your username and password. If you did not register your serial number issued through the ecatalog at the time of purchase, you can do it now through your estore receipt.

To
register an access certificate (access code):
- Have your access code handy. (You may not share an access code with anyone else.
The access code provides access for one person for a subscription
period. Then you must buy a new one.
- Click on the Register
button.
- Then click the
link at the bottom of the page and follow the prompts.
- IMPORTANT:
When you click on the link at the bottom of the page, you will be asked
first to enter your access code and a new or existing user name.
It is extremely important to enter your access code exactly
as it appears on the card. Make sure you type the dashes, pay attention
to capitalization, and be certain to distinguish letters from numbers.
An "O" with a slash through it is a "zero." The letters "C," "G," and
"Q" also are frequently mis-keyed. If you do not enter your serial
number exactly as it appears on the card, you will not be able
to register properly.
To
enter when you have registered your access certificate (access code):
- Have your username
and password that you created during registration handy. (A copy of
this is automatically emailed to you when registration is completed.)
- Click on the Enter
button.
- Enter the username and password you created when you registered.
If you purchased the product online, you must click to find your receipt and register your online purchase access code:
- Then, before clicking
on the Access Baumol Xtra! button you need to bookmark it. This
keeps your subscription information in the link. Once you go past the
Access Baumol Xtra! button and back up to the start page it will
not work correctly. In Netscape, Bookmark this page for future
access. In IE, add this page to Favorites.
- Next time you
want to access, use the bookmark you created. Your Bookmark/Favorites
link will be called "Baumol 10e Xtra!".
- Then click the
Access Baumol Xtra! button to enter the product.
For future visits
from the same computer:
- Follow your Bookmark/Favorites
link to Baumol Xtra!.
- Click the Access
Baumol Xtra! button to enter the product. If access is denied,
follow the re-authentication procedure.

PASSWORDS:
There are two types of passwords you may have generated upon purchasing or registering this product.
- If you purchased a new textbook packaged with an Xtra! Passport, you were supplied an access code as described above. Upon registering that access code, you generated a username and password that you must use to return to the product. If you have forgotten this password please click here to have it reset.
- If you forgot your password, please contact Technical Support at 1-800-423-0563.
